Andrew Trousdale
is a photographer from New York.
He works exclusively in black and white, with a 50mm lens. Limitation is an important part of his process, helping him capture details and interactions which are easily missed.
He is interested in growth, impermanence and decay. He explores those ideas by focusing on processes of change. Ambivalence is inherent to change, as things go from familiar states to foreign ones. This sense of ambivalence permeates Andrew’s images, which seem to reside between moments rather than within them
